Password Resetting

In short, we’ve changed our authentification system to MD5 encryption. This requires all users to manually reset their in-game password using this form. You will be prompted for the email address associated with your account to validate - if this fails (i.e. if you signed up with a fake email), your IP will be checked. If this matches the last known IP address to sign into your account, password reset will be successful.

Unsuccessful?

If both your email and IP address fail, you’ll be prompted to send a support ticket. This will request information about your account - please include as much as possible (i.e. the characters on the account, any equips you can remember offhand) so that we can confirm that you are the owner of the account. We’ll then manually reset your password and provide you with a new one, so please provide a valid email.

Temporary In-Game Login Authorisation

We’ve also temporarily rewritten the login server. Rather than just checking for username and password (as it normally would), it will now fall back to IP-auth if your password fails. So provided you have a static IP (and the IP is the last one to be associated with your account), you’ll be able to log in game even if your password is wrong. However, you’ll still need to do password reset at some point, so it’s suggested you do this as soon as possible.

Quick update today. As you’ve probably noticed above, the details of our Halloween Events have been released. Events will take place over a one week period, from 28th October to 3rd November. They’ll include themed town invasions (during which some seasonal headgears will be available, as well as some eRO exclusives that aren’t yet released) and seasonal Halloween Boxes, which give monster disguises while opened. Note that these will only be functional over the event period.

While we’re on the subject of events, details of the November Event Pentathlon have also been released on our forums. This four-week event will take place on each Saturday in November, one hour after Saturday War of Emperium. Teams will compete for points - there’ll be prizes for each individual event, and a final winning team (with the largest point total) announced at the end of November.

It’s been a long time in coming, but welcome to the new and improved EssenceRO 3.0 website. There’s a ton of new content, which I’ll give you a brief run down on. First of all..

EssenceRO Control Panel

We’ve scrapped horribly outdated Ceres CP, and are now using our own Essence control panel. This gives a great deal more functionality, including a full overview of your account and the ability to search your account for items. The control panel is also linked to our new database, which means you can quickly flip between the two.

Other features include a login log of your accounts, for greater player security. All your characters can be managed from one convenient page, on which we’ve included all the features you’re used to from the old Ceres control panel, as well as a few new ones.

We’ll also be integrating a vend search option, which works a bit like the @shopsearch command in game, but allowing you to search in far more specific detail (for instance, you can choose to return only vended items over +7 refine, or under a specific price).

EssenceRO Database

So, after a huge amount of player support, we’ve added our own server-exclusive mob and item databases (think ratemyserver, but eRO specific). To visit the database, click here to get started. You’ll get a brief overview of the icons used, and a speedy tutorial.

Alternatively, use the quick search form located at the top of the website and forums to search for an item name. For more specific searches, you’ll need to use the item database and mob database search forms respectively.

New Website Features

Please note that the new website is still under construction, and any missing pages will redirect to the index page - so if you find a page that doesn’t appear to exist, expect it to be available soon.

I’m currently working on getting all the content up to speed, since many of the pages were extremely outdated and didn’t include new content. There are also several new pages detailing recently added custom features, and a fully updated player contributed guides index.
