Halloween Event

The Halloween Event will continue till next weekend sometime (7th or 8th). The Trick or Treat NPC has gone into hiding for another 360 years.

Upcoming Seasonal Events

• Guy Fawkes Night is closing in, the 5th of November, the old event will be occurring, along with a new one, these events will be lasting till the 6th.
• Thanksgiving: this will be similar to Guy Fawkes Night, a 1-2 day event will occur
• Christmas is coming! See below for events related to Christmas.

Halloween Changes

Added Trick or Treat NPC: 25 NPCs scattered throughout dungeons (non pvp maps). Can be activated in any order.
Depending on results, gives some EXP/a prize/or a special effect for a trick.
After finding all NPCs, the player is given a choice of a Bat Ring, Spider Wings, or an Event Token.
Account bound, so you can find different NPCs on different characters on the same account and it will count towards finding them all.
Set a minimum level of 100 for the Trick or Treat NPCs - Modified exp given to reflect this.

Also Pumpkinrings now have 200 spawns instead of the previous 100.

New Wings

Red Dragon Wings
Effect:

• +20 Perfect Hit
• +10 ATK
• 1% chance to auto-cast Dragon Fear on the enemy

Hint: Within a cave after mastering dragon lore
EXP Quest

Also note that the effect of Blue Butterfly Wings has been tweaked. Along with its current effect, it will now ignore 5% of all types of defense.

New Monsters

Boiled Rice (lou_dun01/lou_fild01) and Mummy Girl (moc_pryd05) are now ingame!

Halloween has hit!

Halloween is now again once upon us, so to start things off we have brought back Halloween Pront (patch up people). Towns will be invaded by monsters, a Pet Tamer has appeared in Niflheim, also Pumpkinrings seem to have spawned where the bunnies once did, but in greater numbers! Each drop items, and have a chance to give the killer special wings/headgears.

Hello folks, this is just to let you know I will be performing maintenance at 3pm 5pm server time tomorrow (October 25, 2009). A few modifications to the rules are being made since we feel the current rules were not explicit enough about them. As with previous rule modifications, it would be much appreciated if people could translate these additions into other languages to prevent confusion due to language barriers.

The modifications are as follows:

1. Under Moderate Offenses, we've added a rule for Advertisement

• Advertisement:
  Advertising on EssenceRO through any public channel ingame is not allowed. This includes advertising other servers, trades involving real currency, websites containing custom quest information, and advertising other websites in general. This includes public chat in towns, setting up chatrooms, and broadcasting. The exceptions are content on the EssenceRO domain and officially endorsed resources. All endorsed resources are included on the Resources page on the wiki.

2. Under Other, we're adding Punishment Evasion as a rule.

• Punishment Evasion:
  Attempting to evade a given punishment will result in an additional, more severe punishment, depending on the circumstance. Examples include deleting a character to erase a jailtime, using a proxy to get around an IP ban, playing on a friend's account while all yours are banned, etc. Do note that evading punishment on a friend's account will result in their account getting punished as well. In the general case , the offender will receive double the original punishment on top of the remaining time.

3. After reaching the 2 week ban period under Moderate Offenses, the next offense will result in punishment as defined under Severe Offenses. That is, it will result in a permanent ban.
